Hólika Castillo is a bilingual financial professional committed to supporting diverse communities. She holds a CPA Degree from Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City. She also has finance studies from Harvard Business School. After moving to Colorado in 2000, she obtained an MBA from Regis University with emphasis in International Business.
Her professional experience includes working for companies such as IBM, US Bank and Wells Fargo. Ms. Castillo has been training and consulting as part of ¡Arrbia Mi Negocio! and Agnes Talamantez Carroll & Associates, LLC, for the past five years in small business practices, access to capital in real estate and financial literacy.
For the past two years Holika has been the lead train-the-trainer of the FDIC Money Smart curriculum, under contract by Agnes Talamantez Carroll & Associates, LLC, to serve the University of Washington.
Originally from Mexico, Hólika hails from a long lineage of teachers. Her parents own and operate an academic institution in Pachuca, Mexico, where Holika worked in the family business for many years of her life before coming to the United States.
In her family’s business, she was a hands-on manager and performed myriad tasks, including accounting, teaching, negotiating new contracts with vendors, and marketing their school. She is a true Renaissance woman. She is married to Gerry Porraz, a famous musician, also from Mexico City.
As a volunteer, she has also contributed to non-profit organizations that benefit orphanages in Mexico, through fundraising events and voiceover for videos and commercials, as well as raising awareness among the Hispanic community through social networks.
Hólika possesses an excellent ability to provide course participants with professional and personable class instruction; always ensuring that each participant clearly understands the course content and making a difference in their lives to achieve success.
